when i hook the battery up the tail lights start to glow dim?? any suggestions? do i not have a good ground or ........ i dont know need help

Is it just when you connect battery or with the switch on? If with the switch on, i would think just a bad ground.

Sounds like a bad ground probably in the trunk. There should be a wire in the trunk grounded to the taillight panel near the trunk latch. tmm

What car ? Park lamps turned on or not ?

Could be a harness short connecting the dome light circuit to tail lamps and poor ground at the sockets.

Brake light switch stuck on, poor ground at sockets

Light switch in "park"

Get your test light and let's get to work!!!

Pull one fuse at a time and see what kills them

I always had 1 dimmer on my duster, I took the dim tail light apart and the reflective coating on the in side of the bezel was gone. I sprayed it with chrome paint and now its bright. Don't know if this is your same problem, but it's worth a try.

Brake light switch stuck on... this would be where i check 1st .. On my old val the brackit bent just enough to let them stay on took me alittle bit to figer it out, If the car aint running there going to be dimer then if it was running

Btw what are ya working on bud ?
