I finally removed the great 15 inch rallye wheels, and then the entire inventory of brightwork from my 1964 Dart GT Convertible. I am starting the process of prepping for paint. It now has its 13 inch tires that I had thrown outside, and is totally naked of it's GT Chrome. I am petrified that I will not be able to find the molding clips for the beltline spear, and the chrome along the very bottom under the doors. Is there a specific supplier for these parts? I have passed the point of no return, and am taking my car this winter down to the bare metal, and then back up! I'm excited, I'm always afraid that a strip this big won't always get back together. I've catalouged all my chrome, since each piece it specific. It now looks like a swamp rat! Can anyone of our very dedicated Mopar people direct me please to a fasteners, and clip specialist. There appears to be huge amount needed. I will take any advice, and answer any responses. I have had this baby for 12 years, and it finally earned it's new paint, by being patient with me, and letting me fix all mechanicals before looks. It was originally the special 50th annvsy Gold, which was really a horrible green. I look at colors everyday, but must now plan for the trim coming back. Any comments or helpful hints? I appreciate it very much!! Thanks. h2ojoe (JOE). Have a good day

keep your eye on ebay for things like clips. there is most likely someone who sells these new, try google searching, and if there are any big mopar shows or car shows in general that you can go to, lots of vendors usually flock to these places. you may also look for a local restoration shop and ask them if they can get the stuff you need. you can try places like goodmark, year one, autobodyspecialties,or autometaldirect. good luck

I picked up all of the trim clips from R/S. Be prepared they are not cheap. The side skinny clips are over a $1.00 each. Jayson

I know exactly how you feel - my experience might have been even more sketchy! I bought my 64 GT vert this past January from a widow who's husbad passed away mid-project. The car was completely striped down for paint, so I had virtually no idea what went where, or how much of the shiney stuff might be missing. I spent weeks hand polishing everything. It all cleaned up relatively well, and I was only missing one piece of rocker panel moulding. Putting it back together was like doing a jigsaw puzzle, but it did all come together. As stated, all of these trim fasteners can get pretty expensive. You can probably get most of it from R/T Specialties if you are willing to spend the $$$. I got creative and was actually able to use some random Au-ve-co fasteners (from Hillco Fastener Warehouse in so-cal) that did the trick for literally pennies on the dollar. GOOD LUCK!

I'm in the same bot, I can't decide what color I'm go to paint my car a 1972 dodge demon with Black interior maybe a black vinyl roof flat black hood and fender tops

My colors range from white, mid blue, or candy orange.
