Temp sender question

Does anyone happen to know what the resistance value should be, approximately, for a temperature sender, measured across the stud on the sender to a good ground? Cold coolant. This is a 73 Dart, 225 /6.

Around 300 ohms but they seem to vary a lot plus the gauge may not be accurate and the wiring suspect. More info:440 temperature sensor

Up to temp should be 230 to 250 ohms

Question about my temp. gauge!!

Hello Mopar World, I have a 1973 Duster that I have had for 17 year's.I built a 383 &727 and put in it 15 year's agoI drive it on the street and drag race it also.My question is on the factory temperature gauge,I still have all of the original gauges in it.I added a water temp &oil pressure...

The one in there now was 207 yesterday with ambient at 80 degrees. 234 today with ambient at 68. It doesn't move the needle with engine running. Once I saw the needle move up to normal range then immediately dropped back to zero.
