I let my son on here so he can look at all the cool mopars!
Now I can't let him on here any more. To much **** pictures!
The wife let me have today!
I'd like the address of the assholes that keep puting that **** on here!
I'm so pissed off !

Ive also noticed that there seems to be a lot more "spam" the last couple weeks. I will say that it rarely lasts more than a couple minutes before 1 of the mods tosses it. Its just an unfortunate fact that we cant we expect a mod to be online every minute of every day.
 

I had the exact same thing happen on my music forums. The first step is to have only registered being able to post. I tried that, they create an account just to post ****. So you gotta keep deleting it when you notice, and ban them. They come back under another account. I had to disable HTML to stop them. It ruins it for others.

I also am sickened by idiots constantly emailing enhancement, & drug sites, and pretending to be banks, and legitimate businesses. It goes to my spam folder in Gmail, but it's just so f*cking irritating.

My dotcoms are now using an autoban system for spambots, & hackers. It is very effective.

I had to disable HTML comments in my shoutbox too. I have a spam filter for my website email.

This spam stuff has just gone out of control. Maybe jail sentences for the offenders might make them take notice.
 
unfortunate.... but I am not sure ripping this site about it is the answer. I think this site is pretty well covered. I would have to say if my kid was interested in cars etc... I would let them on here... probably one of the safer sites on the net. If your kid is on the net... he/she will see ****. Its unfortunate. Perhaps sit with you kid and go through the site with and point out cool stuff on the cars and make it a learning time. That way you have the control of what to look at and what not. Just a suggestion. I am not sure I would want my kid reading about someone calling everyone "assholes".....see ?

We all get frustrated at times, and need to get a point across,however, we are not stupid people on here, and cursing shouldn't be a neccessary part of a complaint. That spam is a pain, but lets try to cut the dramatics, and try to help resolve problems on here like ladies, and gentlemen.
 
Odd, I've not seen any **** here. The "mopar babes" thread ? I supose it could be considered ****.
If junior is clicking underlined text in spam posts that leads him to ****, he's looking for it. He'll find viruses that way too. It's a hard lesson learned but everyone needs to learn what not to click at some point. Otherwise this site will be the least of your problems.
 
As I said, im working on a fix. I created an anti spam system and it seems to be working well on my other forums. I'm implementing it here now.
 
i agree that this is not the place for that stuff but i also believe that joey and adam will get it so whoever is putting that garbage on this site will be unable to do so just have a little faith. still even though we have been attacked with either somebody who has a grudge or is just doing it to be annoying this is still the best mopar site on the web/i have read so many threads from the regular guys on here that they feel like they have been my neighbors forever / there is a family feel to this site that you don't get from a lot of other sites and we who have children just need to screen the threads for them till it gets fixed just hang in there!

I believe they do an excellent job of running this site.

It's a tough job to run a website and try
to appease everyone .
Nothings a 100% lock on spam and the higher the
sites profile the harder it is.

Maybe you could set your filters higher on your home computer.
If you watch movies or let kids go to school I'm certain they will
be exposed to something you would disapprove of.
Why would you expect more here, even Disneys sites gets hacked.
It's a rough old world out here!
 
The last 2 times it has happened it was later at nite and none of the mods were online but I notified them asap (Im usually up untill 11:30 pm and way later on the weekends) and it was from the same website. Like it has been said the mods aren't on 24hrs a day so there is no need to flame the whole site.
 
We delete them ASAP - and I have deleted many at 3 am myself.. :) We try.

With my new system, it should pretty much stop 95% of the spam.
 
I've reported everyone I saw to Adam, and FASTBACK340! It seems they have died down some.... it was bad there for awhile.
 
I can honestly say I have never seen any **** on this site nor have I ever hit a link that lead me to ****. I do let my grandkids look at this site, hell they are sitting here with me alot. It saddens me that you have had a bad experience here, it is one of the finist sites on the web IMHO.

Anyone wanting to be a part may do so and are more than welcome to take part unfortunatly there will always be those that will never have a clue how it feels to be part of something as great as this site and with that said my hat goes off to the many that make this great site possible to those of us that live and breathe this mopar stuff. Thanks

Course....that's assuming any adult was paying any attention........
 
I think I was was the first to read it this morning and I thought it was in the Jokes Forum and so I clicked on it . I always need a good laugh first thing in the morning. That one was pretty bad ,good thing you guys are on top of things here. I really enjoy reading and posting on this site,

I have to agree.
When they have a title like that and the user name has nothing to do with a car you should be able to tell.
