Sone of you who follow me know that we have been running around Europe with our final 2 stops in Gothenburg Sweden to visit Anders (360DartGT66) and in Switzerland to visit Robert (robodhran). Great visits with these great members. Sunday Robert drove his 66 Commando V8 4 speed Barracuda to the American Car Club meet. The American Car Club is for anyone who owns an American Car, no matter how old or new or what make it is. So there were vintage Model A’s to brand new Mustangs, Camaros and of course Challengers. Here’s some of the Mopars I happened to get a picture of. Some of the older ones were assembled in Switzerland; others imported or built for export. Those assembled or built for export (like the new Challengers) come with KPH speedometers. Here are the First 10 pics for your viewing pleasure!

And more Mopar and other cars that caught my eye! There is no judging and when you have walked around and seen everything, you leave and then some other car will come in and park where you were parked or some other empty spot. We did see One or two from Germany (by the license plates), none from either France or Austria - both within a reasonable driving distance from where the show was held.

Looks as if you had a GREAT time!!!

I took a few pictures of the speedometers of the cars assembled in Switzerland or built for export since there’s some interest in KPH speedometers. This one is from Robert’s Barracuda.

This one is from a 66 Valiant 4 door. Robert would love to have this car’s bumpers! Chrome plating is very expensive to do in Switzerland. He said if he sent his bumpers to Poland or Czech Republic, he might never see them again- so he will not!

Robert said the sticker in the back window shows it was assembled in Switzerland and means the car is very original and well preserved - perhaps even the original owner.

This is an original tag in the engine compartment of the white Corsair showing it too was assembled in Switzerland

Here is the “Assembled in Switzerland” tag in Robert’s Barracuda

And an import tag possibly for the body before it was finished assembled in Switzerland. Robert wasn’t sure about it. Maybe @65dartcharger Ulf might know?

I don’t have a picture of it but there is a hand stamped metal plate with his VIN secured to the right frame rail just behind the core support. It was required for inspection, which Robert says they go over the whole car - a leaking motor, transmission or rear ended is cause for rejection!

We both had a great time talking with various Mopar owners. I’m not sure why no one leaves their hood open - Robert did to show off the Commando motor in all it’s glory!

I figured out that if the car was assembled in Switzerland and was equipped with a radio, the antenna was always assembled on the driver’s fender and used a unique disappearing antenna. After I made the comment, Robert asked someone else who confirmed my observation. Robert said that was a good way to determine if the car was imported.

American radios won’t work in Europe as the frequencies are just a bit different. This is their version of the AM/FM radio

Same as the ones I reproduce!

Thanks!!! Love the pictures!! Had to get at least one thanks in there.

That is some interesting stuff!!! Wonder what the story is on the body of that little flat fender?
