my little 273 just dont do it for me,been gathering parts for my valiant ,like an 8.25 with a new limited slip and richmond gears,and a set of dougs,,got a 318 but what should i do with it ,nice heads and a refurb or take advantge of these stroker deals,,,,its got to drive nice still as the wife and kids go out in it ,,,but must not be taken as a pussy car

there are a ton of 318 hop-up threads running right now, search for them. its all in what you want out of it and how much money you want to dump into it.

Don't underestimate the 273's potential. Depends on what you consider a pussy car & your budget. Since you already have a 273 & want it street worthy for wife & kids a 273 with very affordable mods is a great performing engine. Why even go 318 unless you have a fresh one & your 273 is completely shot. The 273 commando with slight mod's in my 65 valiant easily propels it to high 6 sec. 0-60 times & 15 sec. quarter times with 3.23 gears. Not what i would consider a slow car. Head work or swap to swirl ports, higher compression if not original commando engine & free flowing exhaust really wake these little dudes up. Like 73 suggested do a search. LOL, Yeah just store the 273 and then one day you can put it back in and make your car a Pussy Mobile once again.
Sorry I couldn't resist but, You did just come on here and basically call the 273 a Pussy Engine which couldn't be farther from the truth. I have seen them completely destroy 327's in the 1/4.

dont get me wrong .i like my pussy engine the way it is ,and want to keep its pussyness for years to come ,i just want to do something different with the 318 i have ,and i figured some of the chaps on here have done some cool 318s id like to here about,without having to twal through the site :-k
