Ordered a new display for the hated Asus laptop. Finally got around to changing it today. Have had the original / new one in and out about three times, with the original "back in." It works but has lines. The new one "glows" on startup but shows no graphics. Been over a month since I bought it, "cross my fingers" the ebay seller is a good guy.

Frustrating!!!!!! I hope it works out for you..

I recently had a issue with a item I bought on Ebay as well. I bought some handle bar clamps for my minibike project and didnt check them until I went to install them about a month later. Took them out and they were machined wrong. Sealed package, but they basically were both left hand clamps. I couldnt get either of them to work on the right bar. So I contacted the seller and they said they would exchange them but I had to ship them back that day.. Well I couldnt do that but could the following... So I sent them back anyways, cost me $11 to ship them back. About a week later I get a Paypal refund for $11. I contacted them to find out what that was for. They refunded my return shipping and said a new set was being sent out. Couldnt have asked for a better seller. You just never know... So Im crossing my fingers for you!

Well on the good end, I DID do a major backup of all the files on this machine, in fact I ended up doing a "clean" W7 install of windows only (dumped all the Asus / Bestbuy junk) and then upgraded to the latest version of Linux. I do have "other machines," but this is the main one.

One thing I like about Firefox.......easy to save all your bookmarks / favorites, and email the file to yourself so you have an online backup.
