Xmas eve--- ask a girl I had dated a lot for my class ring back. She hesitated without saying a word and slowly gave it back to me with an empty look on her face. Used to go to a place called the 'LINGER LONGER" out in the country. Was a drink anything , live band dance hall. Partied and danced (drank) all night . Ended up getting closed down by the hiway patrol because of the fights and killings.
It was around long before my day tho, many many yrs before, my uncles used to go to it , dad probly too. It was some fun times for a teenager that ran w/ the older crowd. Also saw my first 426 max wedge 1963 Plymouth out there doing street passes in front. It was between 2 small towns, and a lot of fighting between them took place there.
