Tilt steering wheel

Does anyone know if there is a tilt steering wheel from another car that will fit easily in a 68 valiant? Maybe from a 5th ave or something ?

I expect to install a J Body tilt column in my 47 Dodge.

as far as I know, The only option is a aftermarket column.

Factory style cruise should be no problem! Add the electric/vacuum servo, stand alone wiring harness, and turn signal handle you should be good to go. Better yet would be an electronic unit from someone such as Dakota Digital which requires no vacuum. Both my 65 and 47 will have cruise.

I expect an aftermarket column uses Shivvy turn signal connectors, which I guess could be changed to the Mopar style for ease of connecting to a stock harness. Any tilit (or tilt/tellie column from a Mopar would have Mopar connectors on it, even though most of the tilts are based on GM columns

I have an Ididit tilt column in my b-body and it was a direct fit. It came with a wiring adapter that just plugs into the mopar connector on one side and the Chevy connector on the other. No screwing around.

That's right. A Mopar tilt column is usually found in C bodies, and most had the plug adapter from the factory. They are Saginaw columns, I suspect they would be a bit long, and usually column shift. Later F-M-J bodies like a 5th Avenue might be easier. I swapped a tilt column out of a Jeep Wagoneer into a CJ-7, had to alter the shaft length. A bolt in for an A body might be tough to find, but you're on the right track.
