Trying to locate the date code on some tires. Nothing seems to match the pictures I’ve found. Here are two pics of the only possibilities I can find. Either these tires are from 1994 or 2002 - I think. Anybody confirm or deny? Thanks.

Thanks, but it doesn’t look like what’s on the tire in the pic. That’s my problem. There’s a a 4 circled all by itself then a 2 circled by itself then an 02 circled. All I can figure is 42nd week of 2002. ???

026094 isn't a date code, it's an ECE type-approval number; it goes with that (E4) marking.

This tire's date code is the last four digits following "DOT"; it was made on April 2, 2002.

those appear to be from 2002

ETA: SSD was quicker on the draw

42nd work week in 2002
Per the NHTSA info.

That would make it

Oct 14 - Oct 20 2002

Now if you need rollers maybe they would be ok.

BUT...

Do you really want to risk destroying you car with an old tire?

500 to 600 for tires or 5000 to 10,00 for body work if you keep it upright!

The circled numbers are interchangeable in the mold for the tire.

The next week they will pull out the 2 and replace it with a 3

Making the 43rd week of 2002

Then in 2003 if they are still using the same mold they will switch out the 4, 2, 02 for 0,1,03 the first week in 2003

Yikes! Been driving on these for for about 11 years. Don’t drive em hard and only about 3k a year. Even so, they’re on a decent 68 Barracuda. And my wife rides with me a lot. Gotta get new skins. Who besides BFG makes 14” tires anymore? Looks like both Cooper and Dunlop quit making em. Like to try something besides these BFG rocks.

Cooper has some 14 sizes available... I started looking at some less familiar ones if you want RWL ...

Cooper's website is horrible but it looks like you can get them still eBay/ discount/ a few others

I’m looking for 245/60/14’s for the rear. Cooper only goes up to 235. Wonder how much of a difference that is? Really like the 245’s on there now. Sucks that they need replacing since they’re like still 60%.

Kind of late with this. Hankook makes a 245/60r14 but they are fairly expensive. I had a set of Hankook Kinergy tires on my Duster that were reasonably priced and did everything I needed them to do but the largest offered in that style was 225/70R14.
