I gambled this afternoon.....

...and bought some off-brand trailer tires at Sam's.
I generally hate "trailer" tire, I've always had light truck or load-c tires on my trailer.
But when I went shopping, and found the Coopers I liked were $170, and the Toyo's I found that were similar were $130, (over $625 m&b at discount tire), I decided to see what Sam's had on the shelf.
Well, Greenballs, with a nice look, a very nice price, and a BIG load rating. And $200+ cheaper out the door than the Toyos, and $450 less than the Coopers. Unfortunately, the greenballs ARE made in China.
So, did I f#@k up? Anybody have experience with these tires?
Trailer tire stories have scared me for years. I guess I'll find out, one way or the other.......
Run em!

I got kicked out of California but I was driving this, they didn't think it was funny at 89' long...
Yeah and I remember you being red tagged at the Carlisle exit on the Pennsylvania turn pike !!!!
Oh those were the days. Sure missed you at MATS this year.Just wasn't the same. So much I left on Saturday afternoon. Weather sucked. I froze my *** off doing the swap meet for Carl. I told Phil I'm done.
Ain't fun anymore. BUT if you were there It may have been.......

It was just too early this year, if only it was a couple weeks later when I was out there for my birthday. Missed you guys too! The PA turnpike, now that was some fun times...LOL..

Here in S E Texas, we only use Mexican tire shops, they may not speak a lot of English...but they know tires!!!! Plus they have no lifts, but good floor jacks! OK so they also do not lift at the pinch welds! Bueno!!!!

That’s what I was afraid of. Haven’t looked into this myself, but my brother is an OTR driver who has to keep his rig “legal” in case he gets pulled over or inspected. Based on what he’s told me, not sure I want to go through anything like that.
Check MN laws...... and stay out of Illinois. I've managed that feat my whole life, lol.

I needed a pair of tires for the only front driver I've ever owned. I picked out a pair at Costco, told then to put the new ones on the front. The told me they wouldnt/couldn't. They had to put new tires on the rear.
I said, if you can't do what the customer TELLS you to do, the customer goes elsewhere, and I did.
I ended up getting better tires cheaper from a friend's shop, and they were put where EYE wanted em!
Where You're at, I can understand where You are coming from, but if You get any snow....I once was headed to My folks for Thanksgiving, and We had about 4" of snow that year(late '90's), I had studded snows on the front of the Horizon, and all seasons w/~8/32" on the back. Lots of winding/up&down roads in rural PA, I put every lick of driving school & experience to use keeping that car on the road, I drifted almost every turn whether I wanted to or not....just backing out of the throttle a tiny bit'd induce it....because it's FWD.....
