I have a 72 dart that I would like to put wider rear tires on. I will be using 15 in cragar ss rims with 4.25 in back spacing so would 275/60 fit inside the wheel housing that has no modifications without rubbing anywhere or would 245/60 be a better fit. Thanks

I've got 245/60R15 tires, on 15" X 7" wheels, with 4 1/4" backspacing on my '71 Dart GT. It has the factory installed 8 3/4" rear end. It also has ManciniRacing 2800lb springs, courtesy of the previous owner, in the stock location(s). The next time I need tires, I'll go with 255/60R15 tires.

How is the ride with the mancini springs, I need to upgrade my stock ones that are very saggy.

I think it rides fine. I've owned the car since August 18, 2003 so the springs have been on it for a while and I'm sure they've "settled".

Look around and find a tire shop that would be willing to test fit a few sizes for you. I bet you could find one.

275/60-15? No

255/60-15? Maybe but you’ll need to measure it.

This ⬆

275's are tough even with a 1/2" spring offset on a 67-76 Dart.

255's are the maximum for the stock spring locations and some cars might still require some quarter lip work to make that happen depending on body tolerances and ride height.

68 dart with 8.75 and big bolt axles. 15x6.5" stock steelies with 4.25 BS and 235/60's

closer on driver's side than the pass. i *might* be able to get 245's on there if i rolled the lips flat flat. or possibly a 7" rim with 4.5~4.75 BS
