I should be pickin up my car this weekend,it has 430s in the rear,3800 stall,525 to 550 hp,built 440.a pretty stout machine,as of now its not tubbed or even minni tubbed,so i`m limited on the tires that can fit on my car.i have a set of 15in. 29in tall by 11.5 in wd. that hit the leafs.no good. my question is i have another set of 14in. by 8.5 in.that are 26in tall.do you think they are to small of a tire for the hp. and gearing in this car.i`m just trying to use what i have right now.
THANKS DAVE

Put longer wheel studs,NHRA spec studs and lug nuts and get some spacer plates to move out the wheels. If your car leaves like it is in the picture, the tires will never hit.Mrmopartech

If your tires are close to fitting, you could use the offset spring package. It moves the springs 3/4" - 1" inboard for tire clearance. I have it on my duster and I can fit a 275-60-15 drag radial with a 8 1/2" wheel with 4 5/8" backspacing. I have about 5/8" clearance to spring. It really fills up the wheelwell and they hook!

NHRA states that one spacer per side is allowed, but it has to either register on the studs or the hub. Mine a had made the holes for the studs are the same size as my Centerlines. I use the long lug like on the front to hold the spacers centered.
