Hey everybody.Question that probably has been asked a million times.I have super stocks with an adjustable snubber.Im trying to figure out how far from the floor it should be.Have the front hangers swapped to lower it,rear shackles are straight up and down.I spaced the front hanger back to get the wheel centered in the wheelwell.I've heard some dont even run snubbers. My duster kind of jumps or hops around before it hooks up.At the track its done a 1.54 60.But on the street theres no hooking.Drag radials or not.A guy with a dart around here years ago hooked like he was in a vat of vht on the street.Auto trans.Thanks.P.S. Normally runs 1.60 60's

I have been looking around, I remember seeing someone made a adjustable pinion snubber. This snubber, unlike the MoPar unit, is adjustable via threads like a bolt and locked into place with a jam nut. Large ones at that.

The spacing between the snubber and the floor is approx. 1 inch. But this is a variable measurement and should be played with. Do not preload the snubber to the floor.

Dude! Thanks. I got a PM on this subject and I couldn't remember where the heck I seen it!

I had that threaded adjustable one which is made by american muscle.

On my street car being 1" from the floor with a passanger in the car and bumps its actully tore the rubber cast right off the end.

I still have it but can't get a new end for it but I couldn't get it to sit lower then 1" it's BIG

That rubber end has to hit flush. Not an easy thing to do.

Thanks guys.I crawled under today Rumblefish, and sure as s*#t.It was sitting right against the floorboard. It might even have been holding the car up a slight bit.I lowered it down as far as it would go which makes it about 1 inch away from the floor.Since i flipped the front hangers it lowered the car about 1 1/2 inches.I havent tried it yet,but im hoping it makes a difference.Maybe the preload blew the tires loose?

dont forget to get a steel plate welded under the floor where the snubber hits, I went thru the floor on my last Dart and then made the plate :angry7:, Installed one under this Dart before I even got the Mancini adjustable snubber, I have it adjusted at exactly 3/4 which works for my car perfect.
