hey guys. i got a 70 duster with a slant six, and 3 on the floor.
i want to put a 360 out of the junkyard in it after a rebuild, but have no clue what to do........
will the 3 speed last under the 360 torque?
can i use the /6 bell-housing that is in the car?
what starter do i use? what flywheel and clutch plate?
is it a waste of time trying to keep the 3 speed?
i do not really care to go to a 4 speed at this time, but that slow azzz /6 has to go.lol no offence.

if someone could give me some pointers, i would really appreciate it very much

The trans will not bolt up. You need a V8 trans amn bell housing. Any starter will work. A 360 is externaly balanced and should use the proper "360 external balanced" flywheel. MoPar has them brand new. A clutch plate and pressure plate should be purchased new, just say you have a external balnced Chrysler 360 with what ever your spline count is on the tranny. It will be ethier 18 or 23, the 23 is most popular.

To swap in the V8, Schmaucher (http://engine-swaps.com/index.html) has a kit or if it is an early model A body. Trans Dapt has cheap kit, but no motor mounts to go with it. Purchase them seperatly.
