As a few of you may remember, I had a Lung Transplant back in Dec. 2016. Am all healed from that and have been having fun again. In Jan. this year I got to met part of my Donor's family. My Wife, Daughter, and I meet eight of Austin's family.
Hope to meet more some day. VERY hard to explain the feelings all of us had. A couple of weeks ago, Austin's Mom posted a clip of Austin in their backyard. Some people who have had Transplant never hear from the Donor's family. I not only have meet lots of them, I have a clip of him and heard him talking.
For the first time in 15 years, I applied for a job last week. I was working until I went on the waiting list in June of 2016. In about a week, I applied, had a interview, cleared the background check, went through some of the new hire stuff, and started working yesterday. Will work about about 20 hours a week at The Home Depot. Have Sat. off so I can still volunteer at the museum.
I'd say I am doing OK for a 70 year old with one good Lung and one metal hip.
