Seems like it was losing fuel, dying out 3-4 times at about 4500-5000 then coming on strong in 3rd gear.
Also died a couple times after hard braking for track exit.
Edelbrock 800 cfm...ideas?
6902 Carter pump, wondering if it's excessive fuel pressure, OR a lean condition...open to input.

what size of fuel line is coming from the tank ? is it stock ?
3/8" sender
3/8" line
1/4" id inlet and outlet on pump to 3/8" hose barbs
3/8" line to carb
Edelbrock screen type filter.
Not seeing a restriction issue here.

If you think there is a fuel delivery issue there is a sure method which is affix a gauge outside of the car (temporary) and put it under load. That will atleast eliminate that part of the equation.

Planning fuel guage, regulator, 02 sensor and A/F gauge.

A fuel pressure setting of 5.5psi along with a wideband A/F meter and a vacuum gauge so you can nail the tune and jetting will be a nice combo.

What ign are you running? I've had the same trouble cutting out in the past with the mopar orange box. It has a lower RPM range, but for some reason did fine on the street with just the occasional high rpm romp. When I started stacking gears in high rpm it would cut out.. Swapped to a silver box and it was fine

I think TXDart might be right.
Wondering if the Factory Jetting might be too lean at WOT.
Had a Holley on it last year and ran it hard on some back roads up to at least 100mph WOT with no hesitation. It turned out the throttle shaft was leaking vacuum so I switched to the Edelbrock.
I can't afford to do much right now, but I do already have the tuning kit for the carb.
Anybody running an Edelbrock 800cfm with some recommendations?

Not sure what you mean by cutting out.If it is a miss at higher rpm a coil that is starting to go bad will cause this.

Maybe cutting out is not the right way to decribe it. It's more like it's not getting fuel, rpms going down.

My first thought was ignition. My 6cyl car would crap out around 4500ish.
Turned out to be the Pertronix module. Swaped it out for a factory electronic ignition, and
it solved the problem.

Do you have an extra distributor, or coil that you can swap out for a test ?

Just my 2 cents.
Eddys don't like fuel pressure that high.
As stated above, 5-6 psi no more than that. 5.5 I believe is the book spec.
