Took the Duster out for test beat !

Well, guys. Just got back in from the garage again.
Got the carb and MSD box on and had to give it a try.
Took it out on the street in front of the house.
Two words come to mind. HOLY SH*T. Should of done
this stuff before. Can't wait to get it to the strip!
All I got is some fine tuning of the idle mix. But
otherwise, WOW!!

My best time last year at the strip was 13.08. The way it
feels now, I should be well in the 12.9? to the 12.8?
Hope to see some of the A body guys here on the site that
live here in Wisconsin at the slippery rock. Rock Falls
track opening day april 7th. I really want to make it.
It's my birthday. Can't see a better way to spend it.

Cool. What cam do you have in there?

Were you running the 4.30 gears when you ran the 13.08?

Hay, 340 Dart. Yeah I had the 4.30s in the rear, The cam is
the Mopar Perfomace 484lift/ 284 duration. Works great.
Hope to beat the socks off my buddy with his 340 Demon.
He has alot more money in his car. It would really frost him.

Thanks Brian. Excpet for the intake and gears we have the same build on our 340's. Mine is in the 71 Dart and just has a cam break in on it. I won't have the chance to finish the car and run it for a while. It's good to know it has low 13's and possibly 12's in it.
