Torque convertor

Hi all,


what higher stall convertor will fit a 65 barracuda (273), I'd like it to be 2000-2300 if possible. Or, is this something that has to be made as I know the splines are different... Any thoughts?

It's not just the splines. Your engine has a smaller register for the TC. The nose of the TC is smaller, and you cannot / could not use later model TCs

That is, assuming, no one has dropped a later model 318/ 340 crank into your 273

Call gopnh.com, tell them what year transmission your working, get a factory hi-stall, should stall around 2200ish. They make real good converters for inexpensive prices.

I think torqueflightpatty on ( ebay) has them listed for sale from time to time.
I was in the same boat until I ditched the 65 trans and put a later unit in.
