I have a friend that is doing a v8 swap on his slant 6 1972 duster. He was thinking that the slant 6 cars with A/C had the same torsion bars as v8 cars. He asked me and i am not for sure, i was thinking that slant 6 bars were the same with or without A/C. So i told him i would ask you fellows. So lets see what you hae to say. Thanks,Matt

I've parted 2 /6 A/C cars that had the .870 bars. I would be willing to say that any 73-later /6 car with A/C and PDB probably has the bigger bars (both cars I parted had a front sway bar as well).

According to the parts book I have for a 72 A-Body..... the /6 with a/c bar is the same part # as the 318 w/o a/c.

The 318 with a/c shows a different part # that is shared with all 340 applications.

Like Chief says, the diameter of the bar is what you're looking for.

Larger diameter = heavier duty

Thanks for the info fellows. If anyone else has any other info please fill free to add it.Thanks
Matt

I'll just mention I did a /6 to 318 swap and left in the /6 bars. I have no issue with the ride, it's fine. ('74 Duster)
