Torsion bars

Price of parts and supplies is stupid high across the board. Inflation etc etc etc. Butt rape etc etc etc. A lot of times higher priced parts have a higher quality, work better, last longer. And vendors like Bergman and Dr Diff provide exceptional customer service. Usually you are better off buying highest quality parts possible and just be done with it. A lot of times shopping with too much focus on price bites you in the *** and ends up costing more over time.

Inflation calculator says $167 in 1997 is $335 today.
Add some dollars for other companies to R&D (like reclocking hex ends n such) plus a few other variables and I don’t see the current prices being too crazy.

Add to that, that even in the day, those were a bargain from Mopar.....nobody else that would've made T-bars back then would've sold them for $167.....

in the late 90's i bought a 4dr dart that had as the PO told me "upgraded springs". in the glove box was a receipt for 1.04 bars from suspension techniques for a whopping $350 in 1980's dollars. there was also a switch blade, horse track tickets and a bunch of past notice bills, so it's not like the guy was making sound financial decisions.

I bought my 1.15" torsion bars for my Charger in 2015 for $275 from Bergman.
Sure, I can expect a price increase over time but DOUBLE ?

I keep getting notifications, what's this thread about again?

I just looked for who has what and prices as I am looking.
Surprised a little, had no idea how much.

Mancini 1.03 $379
PST 1.03 $399
Bergman 1.08 $549
I've been looking at bars for weeks.
Posted the above July 1, 2025.

Mancini no free shipping.
PST free shipping.

PST was lowest total for me.

Went to Carlisle, to Mancini tent on Friday, asked for a-body bars, guy grabs them, says $400.
Not $399, $400.

I replied, your website shows $379, I have my cart saved on my phone.
He says no, we both pull out our phones, and we both show $399.

I say, no way, it was not $399.
He says, paying with cash, I said yes, he says how about $375?

$375 is lowest at that moment plus no bs with shipping issues, I say ok.
I give him $400, waiting for change.

Another customer comes up, says, how about them torsion bars?
Mancini man says, sure, $400.

Customer says, you told me $375 earlier?

Can anyone confirm Mancini's price the week before Carlisle?
