towing question

2006 ram 2500 no reverse lights on camper or trailer,everything else works fine. Is there something on the truck need to do relay? any help appreciated.

If I remember correctly there is a pin in the plug if you are running the 7 pin for the reverse lights to be hooked to, I'm not sure it is actually hooked up from the factory, I know mine isn't.

I would chaulk your wheels, turn the key on (don't start the truck) and put the truck in reverse, if your lights on the truck are on and you don't find a hot pin in the plug more than likely it isn't hooked up.

Look up the 7 pin connector schematic - it's online. You'll have to run a wire from your truck's reverse light socket to the right pin - then you're fine.

If it is a 7 prong plug try the round center pin. Thats the way mine is on a 99 3/4 ton and a Durango.
