Tranny fluid color?

I started to run my stainless braided tranny lines today and got quite a surprise. My 727 tranny fluid was mostly gray, it had a little pink to it, but it was pretty well gray. It didn't smell bad and was still plenty slippery. The tranny was working good, it only has about 1500 miles on it. I have replaced the fluid with new stuff and took the car for a drive and all seems well now. Has anybody ever seen this before?

It's not sparkly in the sun is it? I have seen fluid quickly discolor if a used torque convertor was installed or the trans cooler was never flushed after a burnt tranny was replaced.

Everything was new or rebuilt. There was no sign of metal anywhere. I was thinking that maybe it was just a residue because of the newness of the radiator.

Maybe that's what it is then because I put all new clutchs and steels in when I rebuilt it.
