I've had this for years a old 727 with #s 6C172699 is that a real #?..is it worth keeping?

That's not the number I'm used to seeing. That looks more like a serial number than a part number to identify it by. The id numbers are on the drivers side pan rail. Theres 2 sets of numbers there seperated by a space. The id number is a 7 digit number if I remember right. And it's all numbers, no letters. Get that and post it back here and I'll see what I can come up with.
