Dropped my tranny pan today to change it. I found the tranny fluid was blue and don't know what it is. Has anybody seen this stuff? I don't want to blow the tranny what type of fluid should I re install? Any help would be great thanks.

You can't go wrong if you use chrysler/mopar ATF-4 -or- GM's Dexron-VI. both are really good fluids.

Sounds like B&M Trick Shift.

X2 for synthetics. I ran ATF+4 in my 904, and now run Dex VI in my 2004r.

Are these conventional fluids?

A synthetic would still benefit you. Since you're using a manual valve body I assume you've also got a fairly loose converter. Synthetic fluids can take higher temperatures, for longer periods of time, than conventional fluids. For this reason alone I run synthetics. If heat is the #1 killer of transmissions, then why not opt for the extra protection?

I use ATF+4. It is worth the extra price over Type F or Dexron. Chrysler recommends it for my A-413 FWD tranny which is also a Torqeflite and almost identical inside.
