Transmission lines and TTI headers?

TTI does not mention any interference problems with the transmission lines but my original hard lines look like they will need to be tweaked ('72/340). The radiator end of my lines were cut so I am replacing them. Unfortunately, the engine is out of the car so I can't test-fit them. I am wondering if I can order some repops from Classic Industries and make them work or if I should bend new lines?

Your choice.
The stock ones or replacements bend nicely outta the way.
Making them is fairly easy, rear of trans bends may be challenging.

I thought the area was tight and the original bend won’t work, maybe they’ll ‘just’ fit but the lines will be touching or right near a hot header (beside the oil pan of the trans there is very little clearance from the header and the rear line especially).

I made my own and did it when it was in the car. Not easy.
If you’re able or haven’t gotten there yet I’d suggest doing it with the motor and trans out of the car, bolted together, on the floor.

I ended up making the bend out of the transmission straight forward and slightly up to the front of the car, over the top (higher) than the kick down lever and band adjuster, then angled slightly down towards the oil pan, then a bend down to get below the block to be beside the oil pan towards the front as normal.

I think that is what I am going to do. Where did you find a long enough piece of 5/16" steel tubing for the rear line? I think it needs to be around 7 feet.
