Has anyone fitted a transmission gauge temperature sender to their Torqueflte ? If so where do I fit one? Is there a threaded sender point somewhere or does one need to be drilled and a thread tapped? TIA

Honestly the easiest way I found is drill a hole in the pan and weld in a steel bung. Also, many aftermarket aluminum pans have bungs in them but you need to verify which ones do and don’t.
If you add one to a steel pan- add an extra- and fill it with a plug for easy draining.

My Dakota Digital system allows up to 16 additional readouts to be shown in the main display (one at a time) without adding gauges underq the dash or on the A Pillar. I added one for transmission fluid and engine oil temperature Welded steel bungs in each pan for the temperature senders

Couldn't you just put a "T" fitting in the front (pressure) cooler line/port where it exits the case, and install the sensor there?
That's where the fluid would generally be the hottest and probably the easiest place to install it in my way of thinking.

You want to measure the temperature of the oil in the pan, because bulk oil temperature is what you want to control.

Dynamic Converters has built a couple of transmissions for me; they say measure fluid temperature in the pan

Sounds reasonable guys.
Guess I'm used to thinking about coolant, where you want to measure at it's hottest (generally speaking).

My Coan 727 has an aluminum Moroso deep pan ' 2 qts' . Two bungs in front, one sender the other a drain.
