I agree i tend to do a pretty good burnout with them but,they work and thats all that matters..

if you start out in first, it's not as bad on a standard valve body as first gear clutch and reverse clutches are applied when you pull it into low 1. in a reverse manual valve body, the reverse band is NOT applied. so you're up against the override clutch aka one way sprag.
IF you don't have enough gear or stall,you may not be able to start out in 2nt gear.
What i would do is stay in the wet part after the water box, so that i could wind it up in first to 6 grand shift in 2nt and when i felt the motor getting pulled down, shift into 3 and let off the brake. It would pull down and bog, real fast, but i was in high so it didn't care.
Don't let it spin up, and then grab traction, is first gear, under and circumstances!

Hey just to update.... Got the New Mickey Thompson ET Street SS tires. They hook just as well as the old ET Streets. I am new to Bracket racing but had a great time last Tuesday night. Lost in the third round.
