For and early A; I have a set of TTI tube headers (TTI340A17835-c0) for a 67-76 A body. Why won't these headers fit an early A?

1) I plan on using manual steering. So a PS box isn't it.
2) I plan on running coilovers, so no T-bar interference.

This article: http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/techarticles/engine/mopp_0703_tti_headers/index.html
says TTI has early A body headers......part number: TTI363a

Side note: I LOVE the stock 273 manifolds. However, I want to avoid them in this case because I'm looking to use a 360. The 273 manifolds won't flow enough for the 360.

Another thing: I was thinking that if these need to be beaten to fit....Its better to buy bare steel and coat them after they have been tweaked.....

The engine bay and frame is narrower and that effects the location of all the componets your working around with headers. With that said I have never tried the later headers but I'm sure if they worked it would be known by now.

i have a unused set of sptifires we can work a deal out with.. :)

tti for an early a-body are expensive and they say are their hardest header to install. may or may not need a special starter...

dougs also makes an early abody header.

Joe: PM me on the spitfires. The way I look at it; there's 4 choices:
1) Spitfires, 2) TTI636A, Dougs D450, Hooker Supercomp 520-5208.

I have TTI340s. :( Will be going with coilovers and a manual box. comments or suggestions?????????????

used. I've got a 340 dart sport I might throw them on anyhow.
