hey,

Im working on a 69 cuda, and the frame is very rusty. By that i mean i can stick a screwdriver through anywhere on the frame. Also there are huge holes around all my suspension mounts. I was talking to my uncle and he suggested just building a whole new tube frame for it? Since im planning on keeping the car till i die i want things done right. Would a tube chassis be the right way to go? Also its gunna be a street car.

Thoughts? suggestions? comments? :munky2:

A tube frame and fabricated interior is a lot of work, but if you have the skills it really can't be beat.

I have seen some folks cut out their entire "frame" and install one from a donor car. Again, tons of work which requires a lot of skill and patience.

Might not be what you want to hear, but it may be easier and cheaper in the long run to find another car with a better foundation to start with, and use yours as a parts car.
