Im getting ready to install new uca's in the next few day's and have never worked on a torsion bar type suspension yet.Do the torsion bars have to come off in order to replace the upper control arms or can I place a jack under the spindle assy and remove and replace them ???

The torsion bars can stay. Like you said just get a jack under the lower control arm and spindle. Once to get the nuts to break its really simple after that.

I'd be sure to take all the tension off the torsion bars via the adjusting bolt in the lca.Just safer that way I feel ...

Great. Thanks for the info.Sounds pretty basic.Just need to find the torque specs now.
