I have a 73 Swinger with drum brakes. I understand that the upper control arms have the larger ball joints needed for the disc brake swap, however, what about the lower control arms? Can I use them and just swap the spindles or do I need to locate the disc brake LCAs?
This has probably been overly discussed but a quick look at the disc brake swap on the BBTech site doen't mention the LCAs.
Thanks for your response ahead of time.

Brother, like he said, all A body lower control arms are interchangeable )only difference are some have swap bar tabs, and if it has tabs, they may be in one of 2 locations depending on the year). My cautionary advice relates to your upper arms. Since chrysler went to disk brakes on a large scale in 73, it is possible that your upper control arms still take the smaller ball joint, as they were well know for using what parts were left laying around from the previous year. You can tell for sure by measuring the top of the ball joint. The smaller one, found primarily on 64-72 cars is a little less less than 2 inches across....the 73 up or larger ball joint arms folks need for the later disk brake swaps is slightly larger than 2 inches across. You may ned to wipe away some grease to measure and find out for sure, but I just don't you to get an unpleasant surprise later on..
