These are air shocks I used for about 2 years on my 73' Duster. I'm not sure of the name brand anymore, I forgot??! They are black and have the #48704.

That is a Monroe part number. Probably pretty good ones.
 
As long as the '57 has a stud on the shock plate to run through the "EYE" of the shock on the bottom and a bolt up top to run through the top eye of the shock, (or stud, but doubt there is one up top) It will fit.

The shocks length is very long, but very adjustable.

Excellent load leveling device. Use with enuff air for a "slight" rake with a half tank of gas.
