Guys-

Need some advice on rebuilding some heads. Car is a '67 Notch and a weekend driver only...it will never see the track.

1. Heads are MP Aluminum Magnum (MP# P4876624)
2. Engine is a full roller 360 Magnum from a '96 Dodge 2500
3. Cam is 288/292 advertised (230/234 @ 0.050"), .501/.513, 110 LSA
4. Comp Ultra Pro Magnum 1.6 rockers

My machinist is recommending duals over beehives so I think I'll go that route. I've read enough threads on here of the beehive vs. duals debate to make my head spin. I've heard to stay away from the MP springs (specifically MP #P2806077) as they're prone to breaking and extremely expensive ($450/set).

Also looking for some advice on valves. The MP valves my machinist is recommending are $23-27/each! They are stainless 1-piece though. Will need 1.92" intake (4.91" OAL) and 1.625" exhaust (4.93" OAL). There's gotta be some other valve out there that's better or comparable for less money???

I'm new to all this stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

LOL, you can get a single spring to cover this valve lift. Look at MoPar has just to be sure. Otherwise, as long as you have something that will cover the amount of Lbs. the cam calls for, what is the big difference in springs?

Stop splitting hairs over it.

I have 1.92 valves for sale! They came off of my Magnum RHS heads. I have all Intake valves.

How about all sixteen of them for $130 including shipping. eBay search Mopar Magnum 1.92" 1.62"

Just answered the OP...nothing stops you from making a deal for your valves ...PM him

No worries, he can get the new ones if he wants. Mine are used, but came off my RHS heads with less than 100 miles. Went to 2.02 and porting with Brian. These valves came from MRL Performance.
