Valve pocket/bowl hog tools....

I must be stupid. I use tulip headed valves on everything I can. There is a reason for it. And it make sense.

Nail heads look good when you measure the port and put them on a flow bench, but the tulip will make more power. Every time.

I have always said that a tulip valve flows better, It is something I learned from a Chrysler engineer way back in the day and his explanation was throw a ball at a wall and it bounces back, throw a ball at a wall at a 45* angle and it really doesn't slow down just changes directions.

I used a dremel, started with the 8193 stone followed by some sanding drums i got from 4spdragtop the finished with 240 drums and the I polished the exhaust side with buffing wheels. Turned out pretty good cant wait to see how it runs!

While you're in there, you need to pull the corners of the common wall down until they are squared off. You will break through the valve cover bolt hole but who cares? Also, you can pull the common wall down straighter so you don't have such a big radius where the common wall and the roof come together.

A big radius is always better. Except when the port is too small to begin with. And that port is too small for that big radius.
