My bro and I are staying at the Hampton Inn on E.Craig road. Its about a block from the Cannery so it'll be easy to get to the free concert on saturday.
Should be fun, but looks like the weather might not be too good on saturday.

we are staying at the best western on Donovan way..about 1 mile from the cannery.
Just FYI....the Hampton Inn is more like 4 blocks from the Cannery. We stayed there last year. Best location IMO if you can't get a room at the Cannery.
Concert on Friday is better and includes a really, really nice Mopar show too :thumblef:

I can't get to any of the website because I am at work, I just need to know the times and dates. I am going to Vegas for work Apr 14-28th. Thanks.
We're having a FABO meet n' greet on Saturday Apr 14th @ 9:30ish in the morning. Just look for a FABO banner near the North end of the track or follow this Demon....LOL :glasses7:

Dang. I won't get in until later in the day on Sat and then I have to work Sunday. What is going on Sat night? I just want to see some MOPARS!!!

Well the car show is over...heading back to Cincinnati today. Had a great weekend, except for the wind and rain friday and saturday....I do think the weather kept some people away from the show. Vegas is for sure a place one must have on their bucket list. Now I can check it off of mine. Walking the strip yesterday, I had never seen so many people just walking around apparently with no destination, just walking...
The local people who work in the service industries are all very friendly, but I think they are just fishing for tips.
What I didn't see was a grocery store. Do people only eat out here?
Hoover Dam was very cool, and the park surrounding it and Lake Mead was beautiful.
I loved seeing all the fighter jets flying around thursday and friday. The big planes were coming in on saturday at Nellis.
So all and all, a good trip, the problem was that I couldn't find anyone with a FABO banner or tent so I never got to meet anyone here on the website..Now to be honest, we didnt go to the show on sunday...the best day by far weather wise. The wife wanted to go to the strip. So maybe that is when the banner went up. Maybe at the Mopar Nats there will be another opportunity to get together or Carlisle. The Cannery was my main hang out after the days events, but I couldn't get a room there, we stayed about 15 minutes away (walking) at a Best Western.
So that will wrap this up for me. I took tons of pics of cars, racing, mountains and casinos...I will remember vegas for a long time.
Lesson learned??? Get a rental car if you dont have your own..I did a lot of walking and paid a ton of money for cabs...Good Golly they are expensive.

Glad you had a great Vegas trip and enjoyed MATS. If you walked the car show either Friday or Saturday morning you could've met up with several FABO members from Inland Mopars Car Club from SoCal as we park the show field - been doing it now for about 8 years. We're usually easy to see with our bright lime green t-shirts with "STAFF" if big black letters on the back, but this year they changed up and we had Hemi-orange t-shirts. Unfortunately because of the weather you couldn't see much of the the t-shirts covered up by our jackets!
There was a FABO banner and meet'n'greet out in the swap meet area. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go as we were busy parking but I did see and talk to FABO members during the show that I've met before and some new ones that I met this year.
Again, glad you enjoyed the show and had a good time!
Oh, yeah there are grocery stores but none on the Vegas strip or where the casinos are. You generally have to get off the strip a mile or two to find the larger grocery stores. Our favorites in Nevada is the Smith's grocery chain.

:sad8: Sorry, you couldn't find the FABO banner Dan. We were setup in the pits on the end of an aisle North of the swapmeet section. Will try for a better spot next year or more communication LOL.

Sorry we missed you Dan.....maybe next year. You took a cab to the Hoover Dam?? Is your last name Gates??That must be a 2 hour cab ride.....plus waiting time.
No we rented a car for hoover dam...just for the day thursday..next time will rent one for the week.........
