Very shaky at 50+ MPH

RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE!!!!!

So last night I was driving home in my 68 barracuda Nothcback and as i hit around 50+ MPH, I began to notice my somewhat shaky ride became a very shaky ride playing out in my hood. It was a very similar sensation as having an unbalanced wheel on the front driver's side, after a closer inspection at home, I see that my sway bar bushing on the driver's side where it connects to the K-frame is all but sheered off. What was left of it was hanging from a thread like a baby tooth! Is this the probable culprit of my shaky ride? How big a pain in the wallet will this be to have these bushings on bothe sides of the K-frame replaced? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!! View attachment 006.jpg

Yes, that is most likely your problem. That isn't a sway bar. It is a strut rod or strut bar depending on who you talk to.

Thanks . I knew I was getting close, At first I thought it was a torsion bar. I just spent 3 weeks getting the floor pans and interior completed and yet another project rears its ugly head

Good looking car. I love the deluxe interior in the 68s.
