Has anyone purchased from them.? If so what was your experience. Thinking of buying a hood and would like some feedback.

yep, bought this A body scoop a year and a half ago. $110.00, $20 for shipping, inside lip bolt on, no cracks, gel coated , two week turn around, made to order. i am completely happy with their service. they told me if i wasnt happy, they will make good on it. no problems

Thanks. I have had bad experiences in the past from other suppliers. Wavey bad fit. Looking for a complete hood for my 73 cuda.

My race car has one of their hoods on it. Nicely made and fits well. It was on the car when I bought it.

Just painted a Firebird hood for a guy this past week. If all you going for is the look, it will be fine. But I thought is was very poor quality. Very wavy, full of pinholes, etc.. Just my two cents.

the scoop was great, i cant speak on a whole hood, i have never had one theirs in front of me.....

Appreciate your response . I am looking for strength as well as look. I am somewhat confused by your comment wavy and pin holes but if all I want is look it will be fine? I understand they all need work. How much in prep time did you have to spend on the one you painted.

I'm saying, if your just going for a certain look, that's cool, but if your looking for quality, strength, and durability, I would look at a different fiberglass company.
It looks ok, but before I put some time in it, I stood it up on end and there were spots that you could see daylight through it (tiny pin holes, very thin).
The whole time I was working on it, I had to be careful, because I thought I was gonna brake it. Very flimsy.

Sorry about the crappy cell phone picture.

The guy I painted it for was putting it on a race car, so he wasn't to worried about it being totally perfect. So I only had about 4 hours into it before I painted it. I could have easily put 8 to 10 hours into it.

I know that they all need work, but thats the difference between a $300 dollar and a $700 dollar hood.
Don't get me wrong, I can't afford that expensive stuff from AAR or US Body Source either! LOL!
VFN parts will work fine, just not the best quality.

Thanks, for the additional info. Much appreciated.

Just looked at us body.

The 6 pack hood is on sale for $ 389.00

I just wanted to add, that I'm only basing this off of one hood, maybe VFN has some other quality parts?

I spoke to Jean at VFN and they currently has a 5 week turn around time for parts to be made. Rear bumper clip for a Dodge Mirada is $332. shipping is an additional $235!

Looks like I will be making a trip to VFN.
