Just google it......1965 mopar vin or 1965 Plymouth VIN decode

1962 through 1965 Chrysler Corporation V.I.N. system decoding

Also you can download various factory service manuals--for free--from MyMopar, and "the numbers" are in the front

But L is Dart and V is Valiant????

9 – Police. ?????????

==============================

Body Type: L = Dodge Dart / Demon
Price Class: 9 = Unknown
Body Type: B5 = Unknown
Engine: 9 = Unknown
Year: 1 = 1971

========================

"You sure" that is the correct VIN?

This below is right out of the 65 Plymouth manual. It does not seem to equate with anything LOL

L: Valiant, 111" wheelbase (this is the U.S. Dart body—car will look like a Dart GT, but badged up as a Valiant Signet, and not a single Plymouth or Dodge badge anywhere on it)
9: Signet V8
B: 2-door hardtop
5: Model Year 1965
9: Built at Windsor, Ontario, Canada
190748: Serial number (these numbers start at 100,001, so yours is the 90,747th model year 1965 car built at Windsor)

There's one of those that comes down from BC to the Mopar show in Oak Harbor, WA just to confuse the heck outta folks!
