Can anyone confirm if the 4120758 package will fit with 088 or 065 radiator in a 1969 barracuda with stock 383 config. I have read that the clutch may be to long.
Funny you say that. I had the viscous package on my 65 Valiant. It was close, but it fit.
I do not think it will fit. I'm pretty sure I had to use a factory flex fan in my original 68 383 FS. The spacer is real short.
I will say my car was a 360, not a big block, so that may make a difference. It did however, have a custom 4 row radiator that was made using the old tanks and frame from the original radiator. But the extra rows ad to be installed going towards the engine, so that may have made up some of the difference of it being a small block. Why the heck Mopar doesn't make the unit more compact, I have no clue. I am sure it could be done.
I just went through the exact thing in my 69 383-S. I have the stock radiator (065) in it and the original k-member (engine in the stock location) The Mopar Performance clutch was at least 1/2 inch too long.
I went to the junkyard and found a used clutch out of a early 60's Chrysler 300 that fit perfectly. I it a little less than 1/2 inch clearance between the clutch and the radiator.
PS I measured the distance between the leading edge of the fan pulley and the radiator and it is approx 3 inches.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Rod,
Yes that answers the question directly! I will go with the 7 blade original...
Wish I could find an 065 in re-corable condition that was reasonably priced... I have an new in the box 088 and will use it unless one pops up in the near future.
Any Idea how much space you had between the snout of the pump and the radiator?
I have no idea. I sold the car in late 1999,so that was a while back. I do remember that it did not have much space between the radiator and front of the clutch at ALL. I think had I broken a motor mount, the fan could have gotten into the radiator. That's one reason why I always drill the driver's side mount clean through on all my biscuit mount stuff and run a bolt through it with a nut on the other side.
