We went there to bring a frame straightener rack home my son bought. It was used to straighten and square tube chassis. The did Midget cars , Sprint cars and indy cars at this shop for Mario .

We left with lots of tooling the frame straightener. and some really expensive epuipment. He also bought a hunter alignment rack the overhead cranes the jib cranes. surface grinders . crank balancer.

He is going back in two weeks with a couple trailers and trucks and friends to get the rest and motors. Maybe some quick change rears . Here are some pictures 1969383valiant took with his phone. I have more on my camera I didn't load. This place was huge and tons of motors ,parts and equipment. We have to either add on or buy a big building somewhere.

Who's shop was it?
It was a race car shop that built Mario Andretti's cars in the 70's. The place was huge. These pictures were of the back room. There were cosworth, double over head cam Fords , Chevy's mostly race blocks and heads. . The two men that ran the shop were in a home and would come there couple hours a week and play with things. They died. My son basically talked the same language as the man en-charge of the estate. He sold the Dyno or we would have it. We are going back to clean up in two to three weeks with a couple trucks and trailers and a crew. We just want some equipment and SBC stuff.

the Cosworth and Ford OHC engine parts would be gold to the right Indy Car collector,
the link is to a site that sells historic race engine parts...

Mario was the most complete driver in any form in my opinion. He drove and won Everything. I remember leaning on the fence at Elkhart Lake watching him race indy cars as a kid.
