i love the bubbly sound the exhaust makes at idle when youre backing out
then the pure roar. if a barracuda (fish) actually made noise, im sure it would be just as intimidating

i'm curious to know, what has to be done to a motor to idle like that? Almost like a Harley, just on the edge of stalling.
Is it a matter of cam, of compression, of both...the car sound so good. :thumleft:

I suppose something similar can be achieve with a small block, mostly the rough idle. I would really like for the future of my project to sound and idle like that. What I have im mind is to use a 360, and have it rebuilt to be a good street/track combo.

It's not for now (the 360), but when I will be ready ($$$$) I would like to already have an idea of what I need.

For the motor, heres what I have...

78 360 - standard bore
stock valves, MP valve springs to match the cam
stock bottom end + kb flat tops + windage tray
high vol oil pump
double roller timing chain
mp p4452992 - .474 lift 280 adv dur cam
eddy street tunnel ram - jet hot coated with milodon valley tray underneath
2 holley 390 vac sec carbs with lightweight spring kit and balanced secondaries
mp electronic dist + lightweight spring kit
jacobs coil
taylor purple plug wires
champ plugs with .55 gap as per jacobs coil
mp 175k converter
904 + b&m transpack
3.32 sure grip in a 8 1/4 rear

It is a mild motor, if you ask me, I dont have alot in it, just a combo that I have been working on builfing for at least 5 years... piece by piece... here's another vid!
