want to change out 7-1/4 rear in Duster

I am installing a 318 motor build up in Duster and want to change out the 7 1/4 rear to a 8 1/4 rear , what 8 1/4 rear will bolt right into my car(73 Duster) from what car to I need to get a 8 1/4 rear from

Any other A-body that has an 8-1/4" will work. Many of the later 4dr. cars had them, so don't overlook a 4dr. valiant or dart in your search. The swap will be a direct bolt-in, except for shortening your driveshaft. If you find a duster or dart sport donor the driveshaft from the donor will work as well.

All A bodys will swap Duster Dart Valiant Scamp, May need the drive shaft shortened. Or get a u-joint with 2 differant cap sizes. Or both hope this helps Don
