WANTED:A903
Still trying to figure out how to use this forum. Would like to find something I can pick up. I also need a manifold combo for a slant 6. Used is great. All it needs to do is function correctly. I’m in east texas. Will answer all replies. If I can figure out how. Thanks in advance.

If you're looking for just stock replacement one barrel intake manifold and just a stock exhaust manifold, I have all of it, including an A903 transmission. I'm in Georgia, though.

I’m interested, but that would be quite a day trip. Let’s see who else bites.Thank you.

Indeed it would. If nothing else pops up, maybe we could work out a member delivery chain. It's been done in the past. The manifolds will be easy. The transmission may be a little more difficult. @memike is right next door in Arkansas and has a 66 Valiant. Maybe he has some things. I tagged him, so maybe he'll chime in.

A used 2bbl intake and a header to match would be nice if the price were right.

OFF TOPIC:
Admin: I want to be GOLD. Help me out by telling me where to go and what to do. (Without over stating the obvious.)

What's wrong with your A903?
Those things are super simple.
Back in the 70s I rebuilt hundreds of those, with not even one comeback in over 5 years.
Worn out. Sloppy shifting. And transmissions are not my thing. I would not have any idea where to get the parts or how to install them.

903s were born "sloppy" shifting. Even a fresh rebuilt one . I mean have you seen the internal design? If it ain't grinding gears, the trans is fine.
Maybe some of your sloppiness is in the shifter.

Before I would buy another 903, I would change to a full-synchro A230, and a Hurst floor-shifter.

The problem is it hates going into second gear. Maybe the angle on the linkage is too long. It has a Hurst shifter. It went in fine with the column shift. It goes into third just fine.

Call Al's wrecking in Nevada,Tx 972/843-4327 and see if they will sale the trannie out of that - 1972 Valient - 6cyl/auto - don't say it was me.....I was trying for weeks to buy some wheels and seat....they wouldn't move it in to the yard so I called the guy an a not so nice guy....it was a nice car but they kept dilly around....
