Ok Gang... I'm thinking its time we increase our exposure and start becoming more involved in Mopar shows in 2012.

SO here is my thinking, and please bear with me as I'm still planning this out.

I am thinking we want 1-2 people for each MAJOR mopar show to act as Event Coordinator / Ambassador for our members to the show (as well as the sister sites' members)

This person(s) will be my go-to guy in setting up a tent, posting banners, helping our members with information, etc.

Again, I am still working this out which is why I am starting so early. But dont kid yourself. This will involve some work.

So here is what I am asking for right now... What shows do you think we should be involved with and are you willing / able to be an event coordinator for it?

Chrysler's at carlisle is a great show for exposure so is mopar nationals.

I think Mopars at the Strip in Las Vegas would also be a good choice for you

Been to the last 4 "Mopars/Moparty At The Strip" events in Las Vegas and can vouch that they're great Mopar shows. Combination of an outstanding show field, drag racing, vendors, and the support events at The Cannery Hotel & Casino is great.
In the SoCal area, the best shows are both "Spring Fling" and "Fall Fling" put on by CPW are outstanding shows.
Of course I'm biased toward several events our club (Inland Mopars Car Club)is involved with: our annual "Mopars In May" show and the inaugural NMCA show in Fontana earlier this year.

How small of shows are you interested in. Mopars at the Park in Tulsa Oklahoma is a good gathering with races. If it would interest you I bet we could handle it. The next one is on november 5th.

maybe at least one mid major Mopar event in each state that we have members if you really want to increase awareness of the site.

I am volunteering for any event in California
to help and represent!!

And looks like we will be moving to Arizona in the next year or so and I will be happy to help there as well!

Spring Fling is the largest all Mopar car show field and swap meet west of the Mississippi.

I have for the past 2-3 years set up a FABO meeting area at Spring Fling. What I did was reserve car spaces on Saturday for FABO members to park together. I know we have had about 10 cars lined up in past shows. Dartforte, 70Burntorange, MoparJ, and others have been ambassadors and direct FABO members to the spot. We have had get together pics with over 30 FABO members at various times.

I've also posted FABO meetup maps on the Spring Fling show announcement/info threads. FABO members meeting in person makes for a MUCH more stronger board/site. I've seen it happen after our past FABO meetups.

Joey, a banner or flag would be EXTREMELY helpful. I think a card to hand out explaining the benefits of FABO/FBBO would help recruit members. Or even just a sticker. Something in their hand to remind them when they go home.

Sorry we don't allow for tents to be setup in the car show area. But you can set them up in the swap. But Saturday meetup in the show has been fairly sucessful in the past, so I'd advise to work with what has allready be started.

I'm pretty busy coordinating Spring/Fall Fling, but I can let someone like Dartforte or Burntorange340 set the flag/banner up on Friday or early Saturday morning.

Joey, if you could get a FABO banner/flag out for Fall Fling October 15, 2011 we could lauch this idea off get a process and routine down for other events.
