I have lost my computer!! My wifes email was hacked and a email was sent to me from here she did not send!! I received one from another member back before I went to an APA tournament last Thursday Noel, I don't know what has happened but my wife and my email has been hacked so do not open any emails from me ..... or my wife... I do not know what is going on and never use my email except business with Leanna or tim M.
Pass this along to everyone DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAIL FROM ME MY WIFE OR FAMILY !!! I am not saying that anyone here would ever do this but my wifes was hacked and I opened it and she said she did not send it.

I was on fabo and when I tryed to close it it would not close and I had to manually shut my computer off :wack: know it is black screened and can not be used so do not open any emails from any of us because we are not sending emails out.. Warning to all my friends here..
I have been nowhere in 9 day except face book and fabo and I opened an email from my wife and Noel.

I am using my sons lap top to send this warning out to all members here in this thread, so spread the word....

ps. I am not saying anyone here did this I just want everyone to know not to open any of my family named emails because someone has compromised my families email and sending some kind of a program that know has taken my computer and my wifes. my guess would be facebook..

Hacking has happened to Asa Dart Doctor. I don't think he does facebook. Email went to other members on this site from what he said. Emails were sent but I am not aware of it causing a computer crash.

I deleted all my Yahoo crap and changed email servers after I had a computer crash. I suspected that is where my problem came from.

dart doctor is not in our search program hear!!

start your computer in safe mode with networking , if you did a power off shut down it will start with a black screen saying it did not shut down normally and offer you 3 options , safe mode with networking will be one of them , do that and find and download a program called "SPYBOT search and Destroy" ,install it and run it right away , make sure when you install it you select the " add to start up " option if it asks that way you will be protected in the future , this program also works with the dreaded fake anti-malware virus that ask you to click here to remove fix your computer then takes over everything when you do .

i closed out my yahoo account about a year ago, after i started getting a 10 or 12 spam emails a day. with Gmail, i havent gotten but maybe 10 the entire year

Hopefully seadillon will with my help sending info, I am not just going to fix this I am going to see another hacker look threw some jail cells :glasses7:

your assuming the hacker is on a country that has made hacking illegal or even gives a shyte if it is illegal , most of these guys are in former soviet countries or even Spain which basically have no laws forbidding it .

Go get em Mike. I have a yahoo acct, and I do get quite a bit of spam, but it all goes to a spam folder. I also use microsoft security essentials, (free download) and it has done real well at trapping viruses.

Mike, do you have an operating system disc for that computer?
Also what operating system are you running?

I do this stuff for a living, and it sounds like what is called a Rootkit infection.
Rootkit infections can change the boot record (How the computer boots) and cause all kinds of wierd stuff.
Spybot is a great program, but you probably won't be able to install it with that infection in there even if you did get it to boot into "Safe Mode"

This is the sequence I use for these kinds of infections on an almost a daily basis.

1. Boot the computer with the operating system disc.
2. If XP choose the Repair option.
3. At the command prompt type "fixboot" and hit enter.
4. At the command prompt type "fixmbr" and enter.
5. Reboot into Safe Mode.
6. Run a program called TDSSKiller (Free of the net) to chk for and remove any rootkit
activity. (You can get it with your wife's laptop and copy it to yours with a flash drive)
7. download and install Malwarebytes Antimalware, update it and do a quick scan then remove everything the scan comes up with.

This usually get the system bootable and usable again.
This is a basic general start to find and fix the infection.
I am not saying anyone with a different oppinion is wrong, it's just that I see it darn near every day on the job.

You can PM me for my number and I can walk you through it if you like.

My little netbook I always use is in the hospital right now because of something nasty. Been there a week and they said it might be another till they get to it because some nasty stuff was goin around. I usually am able to fix all my computer woes, but this one escaped me.

hope you get it straight. I have 2 seperate emails, one is for joining forums, ebay, or any other non personal stuff. ( its yahoo )
I use the other (gmail ) for any people I personally know and paying bills
I NEVER save contacts in the yahoo one either

These semi new Rootkits are nasty little devils Stroker, due to the ability they have to move and change thier names, or just temporarily hide themselves.
This got started in 2002 to the point that it was taking down systems, and has only gotten worse as the Marketing people pay more for codewriters to design nastier subversive tactical abilities to try to force a sale of crap software by taking your computer hostage (Literally).
ANYTHING that says your computer is infected and wants money is the first clue the average user will see, and by then the average user is not capable of doing anything about it.

Sucks for the public, but it makes me a living.:prayer:
