The chrome vinyl wrap is more forgiving that I thought. I will probably pull it off and do it again after learning how to use it.

Thanks! Really should have wet sanded the surfaces that the chrome vinyl was goin on. Still might do it. The vinyl itself has a bit of orange peel to it. It’s not the cutting edge chrome vinyl, but much much cheaper!

Re-did the vinyl, just have to paint the black stripe and do something with the shifter opening. The sliding strip won’t work. So I was thinking two strips of rubber that the shifter slides between.

I was going to do whiskers, actually had them in my hand a home depot. I wasn’t happy with how they returned to straight after brushing them, some did, some didn’t. I know it sounds crazy.

Very Cool, my 68 needs to go on a diet as well!

I have heard that the reproduction chrome bumpers are a good bit lighter than the factory bumpers, that might be something to look into.

How many sets of those bumper brackets do you want to sell? lol I don't even care about the part number bieng in there. My Formula S originality has left the building many years ago.

EDIT the reproduction bumpers list at 26lbs, any idea what stock is?

The whole deal is clever as hell. Nothing wrong with being anal about appearances. What ever became of the Frankenstein intake?

The intake is sitting in the garage. I have a direction to go to try and improve the velocity. I saw a BIG dollar custom intake that worked with turtle in the intake like I think I need. Just too lazy to get to it.

Yeah, the rubber strips didn’t conform to the shifter enough. Had big gap.

Started working on the dash, should end up being 5 molds total. 1 three piece. 2 two piece(or should have been!) and 2 one piece.
