Well,I'm either fixing the 360 thats in it now or building a stroker or just selling the duster can't decide..
View attachment 1715618161 My son Ethan flew into Pittsburgh from Colorado today. His buddy picked him up at the airport and he’s showing his buddy his Torquer intake he brought in his luggage for me to port. Lol
He sounds excited to get back to racing, Good Luck to you Guys.
My Son and I are working on his Duster now, we are going to bring everything to the machine this week coming, clean, hone valve job. He is considering cutting the intake valves from the 2.19 out to the 2.25, these are the 440-1 heads they have the cnc 325 ports now, I thought they were the 345 ports, but nope 325. so thats what we are up to.
Well at the moment we have over 3" of snow on the ground in the N end of Idaho..................Our power just came back on after some blinks and about an hour?? of ..............................
Yuck. We really lucked out in Pa last year. I live in the country and I never fired up my snowblower last winter. I did shovel a couple of times.
Ya know, I have a set of those speedmaster heads I'm fixing to port, any advice on how I should do them? This is my younger son (28) and he was never into racing. He bought a Duster in Denver where he lives and is starting on restoring it. He runs an Autobody shop do that will come in handy. He also found a 340 locally so if Speedmasters go on sale again we are going to have a set shipped here for me to port for him. Matt my oldest son (32) is out in our shop right now. Hopefully we can motivate each other. Ethan’s Duster and engine. Was a slant six a car car so he got a k member for a small block.

View attachment 1715618130 I finally unloaded my black Duster and got it up on my mini lift today. The wheels are already turning add to what all I want to do to it when I rebuild it. 5 years has taken a toll on it but I’m pretty sure it would still crank off some low 6.0’s. The best 1/8 mile pass was 5.98 and the best 1/4 mile pass was 9.42@138mph with a solid lifter cam never shifting over 7000 rpm. My buddy Bob gave me that damaged 245cc CNC’d runner 360-1 head so I will throw mine on a bench and see if I want to work on them anymore. Mmmmm Possibly a nice roller cam if I marry a rich girl. Plans for now are to start the year with my moved pushrod Edelbrock headed 408. But for now all my efforts go towards finishing up the blue Duster. So what are your plans for 2021???
No, not kidding....got a link to that thread?I hope you are kidding. I think I covered that last winter.

FIRST thing I am doing is healing up from back sugrey..I dont get to go to work till December 3 then will be on light duty for two months. Any way after I get heald up. I am going to work on my dakota. I want to drop it 4 inches front to back. Then going to build my 904 to handle a trans brake. Then have to decide to either build a 426+ stroker small block or build a gen 3 hemi..also might just try building my 360 thsts in the dakota now. To 13.1 compression. Oops forgot to add want to switch from 93 pump gas to E85. I think thats enough for now. Lol
I hope all goes well with your back surgery. And your truck mods.
