A few hours ago my wife asked me to take the dogs out. No problem, right? Normally, no.

However, part of the driveway still has a thick coating of ice on it, and it’s on a hill…..

And last night we got a dusting of light snow, making that ice particularly slippery….

Tried walking on it…..fell on the back of my head…..wife took me to urgent care….concussion. Doc says it’s “slight”, but they want us to monitor my symptoms for 24 hours and come back if things don’t get better.

So I have one heck of a headache, and half of a golf ball size lump on the back of my head.

<sarcasm> Fun! </sarcasm>

Hope you recover fully. That sucks. Here's a tip for next time. Go buy you a pair of spiked golf shoes. Never fall on ice again.
Thanks, Rob.

What makes this even more aggravating is that I had (past tense) some Yak Tracks on my boots, but I took them off just this morning as I was over at a friends house helping him cut some trees down, and I didn’t want to lose them in the woods.

Thanks, Steve! Spending the evening in front of the TV, watching the Wild/Islanders game.

I have a local friend with a 29 Model A with a full tube chassis he built himself. 392 old school Hemi. While it was under construction, he slid out from under the car after welding on it and forgot the door was open. He sat up and hit his head HARD on the door bottom. He had a BAD goose egg on his forehead several days and we were watchin him to make sure he didn't exhibit any bad symptoms. Luckily, he did not. But me bein me, I told him his new name for the 29 was Hemitoma. LOL

Damn, stop that. You can really hurt yourself.

Man, sorry to read. It's pretty slick up here as well. I anticipate falling when I go out, so I am ready if I hit a bad patch.

Hope you're feeling better.

I wiped out weeks ago and fell on my right side. Messed up a rib and slept in the recliner for a month. I am back to almost normal now. (well, as "normal" as I can be)

Really dizzy this morning if I move too fast, or too much. Taking everything REALLY SLOW this morning.

Gotta admit to myself this is some scary **** at times.
