You are right that it is not a simple bolt on installation. When I did my exact fit unit about 20 years ago, the instructions were pretty bad. I consider myself to be a pretty good mechanic, but I struggled in places due to crappy instructions. They have been updated. How much better they are now is another question. The guys on the tech line are friendly and helpful. My advice is to read through the instructions several times while looking at your car and actually picture yourself doing the steps. That is way better than just going a step at a time without having studied the instructions first. If you are a reasonably good mechanic, I should think you would have no big problems.I still think that the basic mechanical parts of the Classic Air kit are best... BUT it is NOT a "Perfect Fit Kit". If you are an old hot rodder and used to solving installation issues for after market parts, there would be nothing that you can't figure out. There are several threads on FABO that document various people's installation sagas. This is NOT and simple bolt on project!
